All I've got to say about doing laundry at this point in our lives is...baby socks.

Boy, you think it's easy to lose full sized socks in the wash, let's throw in about 20 pairs of these little bitty socks that are ALL different. Even the pink socks don't match up with the other pink socks. Some have frilly edges, some have little rubber lines on the feet and some even fold over and have little designs sewn into them. Nothing worse than thinking you've finally got one hand on a matched set of socks in the pile of unmatched socks next to the diapers, while your other hand is pinning down your one-year old on the changing table while she desperately fights to sit up and pull every baby wipe out of the little pop-up dispenser. I can't say I really blame her. She's generally pretty patient about being dressed...right up until the socks. Anyway, just thought I'd comment on that after this morning when I put my newly washed jeans on and found a single baby sock (one with a little purple flower on the fold-over) inside the leg. I think I saw the other one up her pile...

Here's some m ore video of Elizabeth. We've been working on the house, playing with the baby and staying out of the cold as much as possible (although today, it's not bad).

WOW!!! I can't believe I haven't made an entry since November...SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED...It's unbelievable. I find myself measuring blocks of time in new things that E has done. She's now saying words (da, dog, cat, clock, diaper, yellow and an occasional ma). Of course, only we understand her and to almost everyone else, they all sound like "da" but we know what she means.

She had her first birthday a few weeks ago and we had a great time. She played with all her cousins, watched in stunned amazement as they all ripped the paper off her presents like Tasmanian devils and then she proceeded to rub chocolate cupcake all over herself.

Anyway, there are rumors that grandma now has hi-speed Internet, so we're going to start putting up VIDEO!!!
